AtlantaPFS Weekly Update

🎲 Welcome Back to 2026! 🌟

Greetings, Pathfinders and Starfinders! Happy New Year! After taking some time off for Anime Weekend Atlanta and the holiday season, we’re back with weekly updates and ready to dive into 2026. It’s been a whirlwind few weeks—AWA was an exciting new experience for our lodge, and the holidays gave us all a chance to recharge (and hopefully recover from any lingering con crud!).

As we settle back into our regular gaming schedule, we have some important updates to share, including a thank you to everyone who made AWA a success, an urgent reminder about Discord role selection with just over two weeks until the January 19 transition, and ongoing opportunities to get more involved with venue coordination. Let’s make 2026 another great year for organized play!

📢 Current Announcements & Updates

📊 Annual Lodge Feedback Survey – Help Shape 2026!

We need your input! Now that we’ve entered 2026, we want to hear your thoughts on how 2025 went. What worked well? What could we improve? What would you like to see more of this year?

Please take a few minutes to complete our Annual Lodge Feedback Survey. Your feedback directly influences our planning for the year ahead—from venue selection to event coordination to the types of games we schedule. Every response helps us serve the community better!

This is your chance to be heard. Whether you’ve been with us for years or just joined recently, we value your perspective. The survey is quick, anonymous, and incredibly valuable to our planning process.

🎌 Thank You – Anime Weekend Atlanta!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Anime Weekend Atlanta in December! Our first year at AWA was a success—we introduced organized play to new players through learn-to-play sessions, ran full scenarios for both new and experienced players, and helped numerous attendees create their first Pathfinder and Starfinder characters.

The response from the AWA community was fantastic, and we’re excited to announce that we’ve been invited back for AWA 2026! Whether you were a player, GM, or simply stopped by to learn more about organized play, thank you for making our inaugural year at AWA a memorable one. We look forward to bringing even more adventures to the anime gaming community next December!

⚠️ URGENT: Discord Role Selection Deadline – January 19!

This is your final reminder: Role-based category and channel access goes into effect on January 19, 2026—just over two weeks away!

What this means: If you haven’t selected your roles in the GeorgiaPFS Discord, you may suddenly find yourself unable to see channels you currently have access to. This includes the Conventions & Events channel, game system channels, and other specialized categories.

What you need to do RIGHT NOW:

  • Join the GeorgiaPFS Discord if you haven’t already
  • Check the Announcements channel for role selection instructions
  • Select ALL the roles that match your interests (Pathfinder, Starfinder, Conventions & Events, etc.)
  • Don’t wait—do this today to ensure uninterrupted access after January 19!

If you have questions about role selection, reach out in the Discord or contact us through our website. We want to make sure everyone maintains access to the channels they care about!

🤝 Venue Coordinators Needed!

We’re actively seeking volunteers to help organize and coordinate games at several venues across our region. We have immediate needs for Venture-Agents at the following locations:

  • The Crazy Book Lady (Acworth)
  • Hobbytown USA (Kennesaw)
  • Titan Games & Comics (Smyrna)
  • Level-Up Games (Johns Creek)

What does a venue coordinator do?

  • Work with the venue to schedule regular game days
  • Help recruit GMs for games at that location
  • Coordinate with players and manage Warhorn postings
  • Serve as the point of contact between the venue and the lodge
  • Build and nurture the local gaming community

Interested? We welcome people with venue ideas beyond our current locations! If you’re passionate about organized play and want to help grow our community, reach out to atlantapfs@gmail.com and we’ll point you in the right direction. This is a great pathway for those interested in eventually becoming Venture-Officers!

🗺️ Appalachian Region Hub & Calendar

Don’t forget to check out the Appalachian Region Hub for organized play resources across our six-state region! The site features a regional and national calendar showing game days throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia, plus regional conventions.

Starting the new year with travel plans? Use the calendar to find games wherever you are in the Appalachian Region. The calendar continues to be updated with national and international events as well.

📅 Wednesday Game Scheduling Update

Our Wednesday games at Manuel’s Tavern are experiencing some coordination delays in getting posted to our regular 2-week advance schedule. Games will still be happening, but may appear on Warhorn on shorter notice. Please check back regularly for Wednesday updates as we work to improve our posting consistency.

🏆 Hall of Heroes

Visit our Hall of Heroes page to honor and remember those we’ve lost from our gaming community. This memorial page celebrates the lives and legacies of lodge members who are no longer with us. Check it out from the member area menu.

🆕 New to Pathfinder or Starfinder Society?

Welcome to organized play! Whether you’re brand new to tabletop RPGs or a veteran player exploring Pathfinder or Starfinder Society for the first time, we’re here to help you get started.

🤗 Safe, Welcoming Tables for All

Everyone is welcome at our tables. Pathfinder and Starfinder Society organized play is committed to providing a safe, fun, and inclusive gaming environment for all participants worldwide. Whether you’re a veteran player, a first-time gamer, young or old, regardless of background, identity, or experience level—there’s a seat at our table for you.

All Pathfinder and Starfinder Society games operate under the Paizo Organized Play Code of Conduct and Community Standards. We expect all participants—players and GMs alike—to treat each other with respect and work together to create positive, memorable gaming experiences.

We do not tolerate: harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwelcome contact, or behavior that makes anyone feel excluded or threatened. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to, harassment or discrimination based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender or gender expression/identity, race, religion, sexuality, or any other reason.

If you experience or witness problematic behavior: Please bring it to the attention of the GM, Event Organizer, or any Venture-Officer. You can also contact your local lodge leadership, the Regional Venture-Coordinator, or report directly to Paizo at organizedplay@paizo.com. Your concerns will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.

Our commitment: These standards apply at every organized play table worldwide. We strive to resolve issues at the table level when appropriate, but we will not hesitate to remove anyone whose behavior violates our community standards. Gaming should be fun and welcoming for everyone—that’s the foundation of organized play.

Getting Started Resources:

Don’t have a character yet? No problem! You can use an iconic pregenerated character to try out the game before committing to building your own. Our GMs will have pregens available at the table. If you’d prefer to create your own character, our GMs and volunteers are happy to help—just arrive a little early and let us know you’re new.

🎁 Achievement Points (AcP): New to Organized Play? You get 80 AcP free on your Paizo Organized Play account to spend on cool boons and character options!

📅 Schedule Changes: Our schedules are subject to change due to GM/Player availability as well as competing events at venues. The best way to keep abreast of these changes is to follow our schedule on our Warhorn event page or our Event Calendar. We attempt to schedule 2 weeks or greater in advance of the game date and to cancel 48 hours or greater in advance when we know of an issue.
