๐ Anime Weekend Atlanta – Our Last Event of 2025!

This is itโour final event of the year! Join us at Anime Weekend Atlanta for an amazing opportunity to introduce organized play to the anime gaming community. Whether you’re a veteran player or brand new to Pathfinder and Starfinder, this is the perfect event to close out 2025.

๐ฌ Discord Server Upgrade – Infrastructure Complete!
Great news! We’ve completed major infrastructure upgrades to our Discord server. The new role-based system is now live and ready to provide you with a more personalized, organized experience.
What’s Changed:
- Role-Based Channel Access: You’ll now see only the channels that match your interests and gaming preferences
- Better Organization: Channels are now organized by region, gaming format, and game system
- New Help Resources: Visit our new #help channel for assistance and #faq channel for answers to common questions
- Improved Security: Enhanced protection against spam and unwanted disruptions
What You Need to Do:
- Visit #role-selection in our Discord server
- Choose your roles from each category:
- Gaming Role (Player, GM, Venue, Vendor, and/or Convention/Event Staff)
- Region (where you game – you can select multiple)
- Format (Brick & Mortar, VTT, and/or Play-by-Post)
- Systems (Pathfinder and/or Starfinder)
- Enjoy your customized experience!
Important Timeline:
- Now through January 15: Education and setup period – select your roles at your convenience
- January 16: Role selection becomes required
- January 19: Full enforcement begins – members without selected roles will only see #role-selection and #help
Don’t worry! You can change your roles anytime, and selecting roles now ensures you won’t lose access to channels when enforcement begins in January. If you play multiple systems or formats, feel free to select all that apply. Questions? Visit our new #help channel or reach out to any VO or Admin on the server.

This is a new feature we’re testing until our regional hub website launches. We’ll use this space to share news and updates from across the Appalachian Region.
About the Appalachian Region
As Regional Venture-Coordinator, I oversee organized play across the Appalachian Region, which encompasses six states: Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. This region is home to numerous lodges and gaming communities working together to provide amazing Pathfinder and Starfinder experiences.
The RVC role involves supporting Venture-Captains and their teams across the region, identifying new opportunities for organized play, coordinating regional initiatives, and serving as a liaison with Paizo Organized Play leadership.
Regional News & Highlights
๐ Chattanooga Lodge Reopening! We’re thrilled to announce that the Chattanooga, Tennessee Pathfinder and Starfinder Society Lodge is being reopened! Paperwork has been submitted to Paizo to appoint a Venture-Officer to oversee this lodge. This represents a significant expansion of organized play opportunities in Tennessee, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for Chattanooga. We’ll share more details about the new leadership and upcoming games as they become available. Welcome back, Chattanooga! ๐
๐ Campaign Service Coins Awarded at Asheville Scarefest! At Asheville Scarefest 9 (October 17-19, 2025), three exceptional volunteers were recognized with Campaign Service CoinsโPaizo’s prestigious award for community members who have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional organized play experiences.
What are Campaign Service Coins? These coins are awarded to members of the community who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to organized play. They’re based on nominations from their peers and recognize volunteers who truly make a difference in their local gaming communities.
The 2025 Asheville Scarefest Recipients:
- Campaign Coin #913 – Joseph White, Venture-Lieutenant of Johnson City, Tennessee: Joseph has done excellent work growing the Johnson City lodge back from the deadโit now thrives thanks to his dedication and leadership.
- Campaign Coin #914 – Jonathan Blake: A dedicated volunteer and GM based out of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jonathan has been a fixture in the regional convention scene for approximately 7 years. He’s a do-everything mega volunteer who helps out at conventions throughout the Appalachian Region, providing invaluable support wherever he’s needed. His commitment to organized play across multiple events has made him an essential part of the regional community.
- Campaign Coin #915 – Phil Carroll, Venture-Captain of Asheville, North Carolina: Phil took over the Asheville lodge under difficult circumstances, righted the ship, and does excellent work organizing Scarefest year after year.
Congratulations to Joseph, Jonathan, and Phil! Your contributions to organized play in the Appalachian Region are truly appreciated, and these honors are well-deserved. ๐
Durham Becomes Independent Lodge: Congratulations to Durham, North Carolina on becoming its own independent lodge! We’re thrilled to announce that Alex W has been promoted to Venture-Captain to lead this growing community. Welcome to the leadership team, Alex, and best wishes for the Durham lodge’s continued success!
Cookeville Lodge Celebrates 8 Years! The Cookeville, Tennessee lodge is celebrating an incredible milestone. In 8 years, they have:
- Played with 135 people
- Run 482 games
- Run games at 3 stores
- Run games at one local convention
- Run games for 3 virtual conventions
- Raised hundreds of dollars for Toys for Tots
- Made countless memories and friendships

The best way to keep abreast of these changes is to follow our schedule on our Warhorn event page or our Event Calendar. We attempt to schedule 2 weeks or greater in advance of the game date and to cancel 48 hours or greater in advance when we know of an issue.
