DragonCon 2026 is wrapped, and we’re back to our regular weekly venue games. This week features Sunday at Battle & Brew Sandy Springs, Monday and Thursday online slots, Wednesday at Manuel’s Tavern, and a packed Saturday at Giga-Bites Cafe and Level Up Games. Looking ahead: Nightmare Weekend Raleigh is just weeks away (Oct 10-11) with Paizo staff showcasing 13 Omens!
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Pathfinder Society Scenario Updates
Only Pathfinder Society Scenarios Are Affected — Starfinder Society Continues!
Paizo has announced that Pathfinder Society Scenario #8-07: In the Halls of Dead Justice and Pathfinder Society Scenario #8-08: Treatise on the Study of Clockwork (releasing October 7, 2026) are the final Pathfinder Society scenarios currently scheduled to be published.
✅ STARFIGHTERS, TAKE NOTE: This announcement ONLY affects Pathfinder Society scenarios. As far as we are aware, Starfinder Society scenarios will continue to be published. The Starfinder Society is NOT ending. Keep flying, Starfinders!

DragonCon 2026 has wrapped, and we want to thank every player, GM, and volunteer who made this year’s gaming track a success. Your passion keeps this community thriving.
We know there’s uncertainty swirling around Paizo’s future plans for Organized Play. We want to be clear: this community isn’t going anywhere. Whatever happens with corporate decisions, we’re committed to keeping tables running and adventurers rolling dice together.
A note on kindness: Your Venture Officers are working with the same limited information you have. We’re in the dark, we’re frustrated too, and we’re doing everything we can to advocate for this community. Please be patient with your VOs—they’re carrying a heavy load right now, and they deserve your grace.
🙏 Our Apologies: Scheduling Challenges
We need to be transparent with you: we are not meeting our goal of scheduling games two weeks in advance at all Atlanta venues. This is entirely on us as leadership, not on our venue coordinators or GMs.
We’ve been struggling with volunteer coverage, officer transitions, and the aftermath of DragonCon planning. The result is that some venues are getting short notice on what’s being offered, and that’s not fair to you as players or to our hardworking GMs.
We’re working to fix this. If you’re interested in helping as a venue coordinator or have ideas for how we can improve our scheduling process, please reach out to joel@atlantapfs.org. We need your help to get back on track.

🎲 September 2026 Organized Play Monthly Update — Full Details
Final PFS Scenarios Announced (October 7, 2026):
- Pathfinder Society Scenario #8-07: In the Halls of Dead Justice
- Pathfinder Society Scenario #8-08: Treatise on the Study of Clockwork
Again, these are the final Pathfinder Society scenarios currently scheduled. Starfinder Society Scenario #2-07: Attack at the Freemarkets is also releasing October 7, and SFS scenarios are expected to continue.
Sanctioning Updates:
- The Dead God’s Hand — Sanctioning documents now available!
- Secrets of the Swarm Adventure Path — Now sanctioned for Organized Play! Ancestry and item sanctioning on the Character Options page; Generic Chronicle Sheet available.
- Magus/Summoner Errata: Updates to class chassis and feats must be implemented immediately. Attribute modifier changes require a rebuild boon.

🚀 Starfinder Tech Core Preview: Something Old
The mechanic and technomancer classes return in Starfinder Tech Core! Key updates:
- Mechanic: Modify gear without deactivating prior mods; Mine exocortex creates 4 + Int modifier mines per day (deployable up to 60 feet); new Spontaneous Crafting feat for swift gear creation.
- Technomancer: Overclock Gear is now a free action; new Overclock Pulse grants bonus actions; DPS++ Programming Language gets Overclock Weapon with +1 status bonus to attacks and half-level damage bonus.
🎲 PAX Unplugged 2026 Call for Volunteers
December 4-6, 2026 — Philadelphia, PA
Paizo needs GMs and HQ staff! Primary offering is 13 Omens (rules-light horror RPG), plus Pathfinder and Starfinder Society tables.
Rewards by blocks run:
- 7+ blocks: Badge, hardcover product, parking reimbursement, in-game rewards, $15 vouchers per block
- 3-6 blocks: Badge, in-game rewards, vouchers (6 blocks also get hardcover product)
- 1-2 blocks: In-game rewards and vouchers
Note: No hotel rooms provided. Parking reimbursement available for 7+ slot GMs.

🎉 Marietta the Gathering — 5th Anniversary on March 6, 2027!
March 6, 2027 — Boxwood Social Hall, Marietta Square
We’re gearing up for something special. Marietta the Gathering is celebrating its 5th year, and we’ve been there since the beginning. This year, we want to do something big to help them celebrate: we’re planning to run a Pathfinder Society Interactive Special during the event!
Interactive Specials require 3+ tables to run plus a House GM. We can get all the tables we need — we’ll be inside Boxwood Social Hall just off Marietta Square. We just need GMs and players to make it happen.

🚨 We Need Officers — Badly
We’re going to be blunt: AtlantaPFS is short on Venture-Officers right now. Titan Games & Comics and Battle & Brew have no VA at all. Johns Creek is being covered on an interim basis. Without enough officers, venues don’t just sit quietly — scheduling gets erratic as the officers we do have get overtaxed.
None of these roles require deep expertise — they need someone willing to show up, keep a searchable public presence, and be a friendly face. If that’s you, please reach out. Email joel@atlantapfs.org or fill out the Volunteer Form today.

🎬 Rocky Horror Picture Show Night – Poll Still Open!
We’re still collecting availability for our AtlantaPFS outing to The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Plaza Theatre on Ponce de Leon Avenue. If you haven’t filled out the poll yet, please do — more responses means a better date for everyone. We’re personally leaning toward October once the dust from DragonCon has settled, but all input is welcome.
