🗓️ June 7–13 — Two Sold-Out Saturdays and a Noir Investigation Continues
No Wednesday night at Manuel’s Tavern this week — nothing is on the schedule at this time, so check Warhorn mid-week if you’re hoping for a pop-up. What we do have is a packed Tuesday virtual session and two completely full tables on Saturday, one in Dawsonville and one in Atlanta.
Both Saturday sessions filled quickly and are sitting at capacity with waitlists — which is a great sign for the health of the community heading into summer. If you’re on a waitlist, hang tight; spots do open up.
And the Appalachian Region is now on Mastodon! More on that below.
One more thing worth saying: Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 June is a good reminder that our tables are for everyone — more on that below. ⚔️🌟
📢 Current Announcements & Updates
🌐 Atlanta Lodge Virtual Games – What’s Changing
The VOs who have been running virtual games through the Atlanta lodge are wrapping up their remaining sessions and moving their ongoing presence to the official Organized Play Online Region. If you’ve been playing in those games, the Online Region is a great place to continue — here’s a temp link to their Discord: https://discord.gg/8RY8D7V59. Any questions, reach out to James R.
Virtual play through Atlanta isn’t going away, though. The ongoing Murder in Metal City campaign continues this Tuesday on Foundry, and Fantasy Grounds Starfinder Society games are returning to the lodge soon — more on that below.
This has no impact on the Columbus lodge’s virtual offerings. Columbus virtual games continue as normal through the shared Warhorn event page.
📜 Organized Play Sanctioning Update – Big News from Paizo
In case you missed the May Organized Play Monthly Update, Paizo has made some significant sanctioning announcements worth knowing about:
Starfinder Society: A generic adventure sanctioning document is now available. This single document covers player and GM credit for any Paizo-published Starfinder adventure — including adventure paths, the SF2 playtest scenarios, and other releases — unless Paizo specifically states otherwise. You won’t find it on every product page, but you can assume sanctioning applies.
Pathfinder Society: Sanctioning documents are now available for the Hellbreakers Adventure Path, the Season of Ghosts compilation, Secrets of the Unlit Star, and Paizo Printables adventures. Notably, all of these are repeatable — and Paizo has indicated that going forward, sanctioned adventures will be repeatable as a standard, with scenarios to follow later this year.

🚀 Fantasy Grounds Starfinder Society – Season 1 Coming Soon
SFS games are returning to AtlantaPFS through Fantasy Grounds — and we’re running Starfinder Society Season 1 in its entirety, starting from SFS 1-00. Whether you’re brand new to Starfinder Society or a veteran looking to fill out your Season 1 chronicle collection, this is your chance to play the full arc from the beginning.
Scheduling is expected to be announced soon. Keep an eye on the GeorgiaPFS Discord and Warhorn for session announcements. If Fantasy Grounds is your preferred VTT, now is a great time to make sure your software is up to date.
🐉 DragonCon 2026 – Under 90 Days and Counting
DragonCon 2026: September 3–7, 2026 — Labor Day Weekend, Atlanta, GA
The clock is ticking. DragonCon is under 90 days away and we still need volunteers. Every table we can’t staff doesn’t get scheduled. The cinematic run of The Battle of Hellknight Hill alongside our regular PF2 and SF2 tables requires people — specifically, it requires you.
Here’s what we need:
- GMs — for regular scenarios, the Battle of Hellknight Hill special, and anything in between
- HQ Staff — the people who keep the whole operation running behind the scenes
- Volunteers willing to give even one or two slots of their DragonCon weekend
The form takes five minutes. Your commitment changes everything.

🕊️ In Memoriam: Lee McLurkin
We continue to hold space for the memory of Lee McLurkin, whose loss touched so many in our community. A fitting tribute is being prepared for DragonCon later this year, and a memorial will be added to our Hall of Heroes once complete. Our thoughts remain with his family and all who knew him.

🎬 Rocky Horror Picture Show Night – Poll Still Open!
We’re still collecting availability for our AtlantaPFS outing to The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Plaza Theatre on Ponce de Leon Avenue. If you haven’t filled out the poll yet, please do — more responses means a better date for everyone. We’re personally leaning toward October once the dust from DragonCon has settled, but all input is welcome.

The Morgantown, West Virginia lodge reopening continues to build momentum. Learn to Play sessions are underway, with official Pathfinder and Starfinder Society play set to kick off at Wyvern’s Rest. Urgent: Venture-Officer Openings in Chattanooga & Charleston, WV
Two important leadership needs remain open:
- Chattanooga, TN: The Venture-Lieutenant overseeing the Chattanooga lodge has stepped down. The lodge has great bones and a real player community — it needs a dedicated VO to keep the momentum going.
- Charleston, WV: We are actively recruiting to establish a brand-new lodge in the Charleston area. Help build something new and be the reason a whole community of players finds organized play.

- Nashville, TN – Strong potential, needs more regular GM support to grow the schedule.

Free RPG Day kits must be ordered in advance by the store. If your FLGS does not appear on the Free RPG Day store locator at freerpgday.com/gamers, they are not a participating venue this year. Free RPG Day content can only be run on Free RPG Day itself at a participating venue — or one month later once it clears for general use.
