🎃⚔️ AtlantaPFS Weekly Update
October 25 – October 31, 2026
🦇 Halloween Week Edition 🕸️
Greetings, Pathfinders and Starfinders! It’s Halloween week, and the tables are ready: Titan Games & Comics on Sunday, a virtual Starfinder session Monday night, Manuel’s Tavern on Wednesday, another virtual Starfinder session Thursday, and a double dose of Halloween Saturday with games at Level-Up Games Dawsonville and East Atlanta Comics Dice City. Then, Saturday night, the Plaza Theatre awaits for the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Costumes are encouraged at every table. 👻
🔧 Virtual Starfinder Games Moving to Foundry
Because of a performance issue with Fantasy Grounds Unity, AtlantaPFS’s virtual Starfinder Society (SFS2) games are moving to Foundry VTT on a game-by-game basis for the time being. Monday’s Final Gambit: Part Two will run on Foundry. Thursday’s The First Cut is currently listed on Fantasy Grounds Unity and may move to Foundry depending on what we hear from Fantasy Grounds, so check the Warhorn listing before you plan around it.
Fantasy Grounds support has been contacted and is aware of the issue. They’ve found memory leaks in their application that will require a patch. We don’t have a timeline yet, but we’ll share more as we hear it. Signing up works the same as always: use the Warhorn links in the schedule below.
🚨 We Still Need Officers
We’re down to one venue without dedicated officer support: Level-Up Games Johns Creek, where Steve H is covering on top of Dawsonville.
Here’s why it matters. Without enough officers, scheduling gets erratic as the people we do have get stretched past what’s reasonable, and in the worst case we have to scale back our footprint. It isn’t only weekly venues, either: the same shortage limits how many conventions and acquisition events we can staff.
If you’re willing to show up, keep a searchable public presence, and be a friendly face at your local table, we want to talk to you. Email joel@atlantapfs.org or fill out the Volunteer Form.
📢 The State of Organized Play
Paizo’s Organized Play Infinite Sanctioning & Announcements blog from September 21st continues to shape our community:
- Pathfinder Society is not ending. Monthly PFS2 scenario releases wrapped up with #8-07: In the Halls of Dead Justice and #8-08: Treatise on the Study of Clockwork, both released October 7.
- Going forward, regular PFS content comes from the Paizo Printables adventure line, which starts its spooky Creep Season this October with adventures sized like a current PFS scenario. Paizo plans to wrap that storyline early next year with the Season of Clockwork Mystery, and has announced a hardcover PFS adventure anthology for 2028.
- Fan-created scenarios can now be sanctioned for Pathfinder and Starfinder Society through Infinite, open since September 21.
- Starfinder Society is unaffected and keeps its normal monthly schedule.
From Paizo’s October Organized Play Monthly Update:
- Starfinder Society Scenario #2-08: Murder on the Tourmaline Comet releases November 4.
- Pathfinder Lost Omens: Cheliax, Infernal Inheritance is now sanctioned for Pathfinder Society play, and sanctioning for Starfinder Tech Core has been posted.
We’ll keep passing along solid information as we get it. What we can tell you for certain: this community isn’t going anywhere.
🎭 Rocky Horror Picture Show — Halloween Night
This Saturday, October 31 — The Plaza Theatre, Ponce de Leon Avenue. Costumes and audience participation strongly encouraged — Rocky Horror veterans and Virgins alike are welcome. Get tickets at The Plaza Theatre. Questions? Reach out on the GeorgiaPFS Discord or email joel@atlantapfs.org.
📈 Regional Growth Snapshot — Atlanta Lodge
Quarterly reporting for Q3 is in. Here’s how the Atlanta lodge’s Q3 2026 compared to Q2 2026, shown as percentage change only:
| Category | Q3 vs. Q2 |
|---|---|
| Retail PFS2 tables | -29% |
| Retail SFS2 tables | +56% |
| Retail SFS1 tables | -100% |
| Unique GMs | -13% |
| Unique Players | -9% |
| New Players | New this quarter |
Covers retail, virtual, and acquisition-event reporting received to date (events under 15 tables count as acquisition events and are folded into regular numbers). Larger convention data is reported directly to Paizo and is not included. Q4 began October 1 and is excluded until it wraps up. These numbers shift with schedules, venues and late reports, so we read them as a trend to watch.
🎲 Columbus Lodge Update
The Columbus lodge continues preparing to get games back on the calendar at Moxie Games. We’ll flag it here the moment a session lands.
