🍀 Luck of the Irish & Organized Play Updates 🎲
Greetings, Pathfinders and Starfinders! Happy St. Patrick’s Day week! Whether you’re celebrating with green attire, Irish fare, or just enjoying the spring weather, we hope your week is filled with good fortune and great gaming.
This week brings important news from Paizo about PaizoCon, information about an online replacement event, continued calls for MomoCon volunteers, and our regular gaming schedule throughout the week. Let’s dive in!
📢 Current Announcements & Updates
📰 PaizoCon 2026 Canceled – Online Alternative Available
Important Convention News
Paizo has announced that PaizoCon 2026 has been canceled. This was Paizo’s annual convention traditionally held in the Pacific Northwest, and its cancellation marks a significant change for the organized play community.
You can read Paizo’s official announcement here: PaizoCon Online is Canceled for 2026
Bridging the Gap 2026 – Online Alternative
The good news? The Organized Play Online Region has stepped in to offer an alternative event! Bridging the Gap 2026 is an online-only games convention that will help fill the void left by PaizoCon’s cancellation.
Event Details:
- Dates: May 22-25, 2026 (VTT games) | May 22 – August 14, 2026 (PBD games continue)
- Format: Online-only convention on various VTT platforms
- Coverage: GMs worldwide offering tables across multiple timezones and languages
- Support: Venture-Officers available 24 hours a day during the convention
What to Expect:
- Multi-table Specials: For Pathfinder 1, Pathfinder 2, and Starfinder
- Scenarios: From all game systems, including Starfinder 2
- Author-Run Games: Scenarios run by their creators
- Charity Component: Supporting good causes through gaming
- Possible Paizo Staff: Staff members may run games if schedules permit
More details about Bridging the Gap 2026 will be shared as the event approaches. This is a great opportunity to connect with the global organized play community and experience tables you might not get to play locally!
🕊️ In Memoriam: Lee McLurkin
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Lee McLurkin. Lee was a valued member of our gaming community, and his loss has left many of us stunned and grieving.
Lee’s presence at our tables will be deeply missed. We are working to create a fitting tribute to honor his memory, which will be unveiled at DragonCon later this year. A memorial for Lee will be added to our Hall of Heroes once we’ve put together the tribute he deserves.
Our thoughts are with Lee’s family, friends, and all who knew him. The gaming table is a little emptier without him.
🎮 MomoCon 2026 – Volunteer Call Coming Soon!
MomoCon: May 22-25, 2026
With MomoCon just over two months away, we’ll soon be opening our volunteer sign-up for one of Atlanta’s premier gaming and anime conventions! MomoCon brings thousands of attendees to the Georgia World Congress Center, and Pathfinder and Starfinder Society play a significant role in the tabletop gaming offerings.

- Be Part of a Growing Convention: MomoCon continues to expand each year, bringing new players to organized play
- GM Benefits: Receive GM credit, achievement points, and special recognition
- Build Community: Introduce hundreds of new players to Pathfinder and Starfinder Society
- Memorial Day Weekend: Perfect timing for a long weekend of gaming!
What We Need:

More details about schedules, GM assignments, and logistics will be shared as we get closer to the event!
🐉 DragonCon 2026 Volunteers – Form Still Open!
DragonCon 2026: September 3-7, 2026

🎉 Welcome to the GeorgiaPFS Family: Statesboro Lodge!
Exciting Regional Growth!
We’re thrilled to announce that Statesboro is establishing its own Pathfinder and Starfinder Society lodge! The paperwork is currently being processed with Organized Play leadership, and soon our community will officially expand to include this fifth Georgia lodge under the GeorgiaPFS umbrella.
Statesboro joins Athens, Atlanta, Augusta, and Columbus as part of the Georgia organized play community, bringing Pathfinder and Starfinder Society gaming to the southeastern part of the state. This is fantastic news for players in the Statesboro area and represents the continued growth and vitality of organized play across our state.
We’ll share more details about the Statesboro lodge—including their venue locations, game schedules, and contact information—once the official paperwork is complete. In the meantime, please join us in welcoming our newest sister lodge to the community!
If you’re in the Statesboro area and interested in organized play, keep an eye on our updates for information on how to connect with the local lodge once they’re officially up and running.
🌐 Virtual Gaming Policy Updates – Local Player Priority
Important Changes to Virtual Play Sign-Ups!
To keep our communications clear and aligned with Organized Play standards, the Atlanta and Columbus lodges are making important updates to how we handle virtual gaming. Here’s what’s changing:
Terminology Update: “Virtual” vs “Online”
We will officially use the term Virtual for all our non-physical table offerings. While the Online Region handles “Online” branding for their global games, our lodge-specific virtual games will be clearly labeled as Virtual to avoid confusion.
Early Sign-Up Rights for Local Players
At the request of Organized Play leadership and local players, we are implementing Early Sign-Up Rights for Atlanta and Columbus lodge members on most virtual games, as well as access to lodge-specific local events (such as parties, specials, and other member exclusives).
How to Claim Your Local Lodge Role
To ensure you get priority access and member status for virtual games, you need to register for your Atlanta or Columbus lodge role on our Warhorn:
- Navigate to the AtlantaPFS Warhorn Page
- Select “Email the event staff”
- In your message, provide:
- Account Verification: Your Warhorn Name (and email associated with the account, if different)
- Lodge Designation: Which lodge you belong to (Atlanta or Columbus)
A Note on Processing
This is a manual process that cannot be automated at this time. While we have several staff members, all emails are routed to a single point of contact for processing. Please be patient as we manually update these roles—we’ll get you cleared as quickly as possible!
Important: These specific roles and sign-up windows currently apply to games and events managed on the AtlantaPFS Warhorn hub. Individual GMs may set their own early sign-up windows, so check each game listing for specific details.
🎮 Expanded Virtual Gaming Schedule!
More opportunities to play from home!
We’ve expanded our virtual gaming schedule to provide more flexibility and gaming opportunities throughout the week:
- Atlanta Virtual Games: Now running on Tuesday AND Wednesday evenings
- Columbus Virtual Games: Running on Thursday evenings
Whether you prefer weeknight gaming, can’t make it to physical venues, or just enjoy the convenience of playing from home, we now have multiple virtual options each week. Check our schedule below for this week’s virtual offerings!

📋 GeorgiaPFS Forums Update
Please note that the GeorgiaPFS Shared Forums at gapfs.org have closed. We encourage everyone to join our Discord server for community discussions, game coordination, and staying connected with fellow players across Georgia and the Appalachian Region.
🗺️ Appalachian Region Hub & Calendar
The Appalachian Region Hub provides organized play resources across our six-state region! The site features a regional and national calendar showing game days throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia, plus regional conventions.
Important Update: We’re aware of some technical issues with the current calendar tool and are working on a redesign that will make it more stable and robust. The new system will provide better reliability and an improved user experience. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve this resource!
Planning travel or looking for games in other parts of the region? Use the calendar to find organized play wherever you are in the Appalachian Region. The calendar continues to be updated with national and international events as well.
📅 Wednesday Game Scheduling Update
Our Wednesday games at Manuel’s Tavern are experiencing some coordination delays in getting posted to our regular 2-week advance schedule. Games will still be happening, but may appear on Warhorn on shorter notice. Please check back regularly for Wednesday updates as we work to improve our posting consistency.
🏆 Hall of Heroes
Visit our Hall of Heroes page to honor and remember those we’ve lost from our gaming community. This memorial page celebrates the lives and legacies of lodge members who are no longer with us. Check it out from the member area menu.
🆕 New to Pathfinder or Starfinder Society?
Welcome to organized play! Whether you’re brand new to tabletop RPGs or a veteran player exploring Pathfinder or Starfinder Society for the first time, we’re here to help you get started.
🤗 Safe, Welcoming Tables for All
Everyone is welcome at our tables. Pathfinder and Starfinder Society organized play is committed to providing a safe, fun, and inclusive gaming environment for all participants worldwide. Whether you’re a veteran player, a first-time gamer, young or old, regardless of background, identity, or experience level—there’s a seat at our table for you.
All Pathfinder and Starfinder Society games operate under the Paizo Organized Play Code of Conduct and Community Standards. We expect all participants—players and GMs alike—to treat each other with respect and work together to create positive, memorable gaming experiences.
We do not tolerate: harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwelcome contact, or behavior that makes anyone feel excluded or threatened. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to, harassment or discrimination based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender or gender expression/identity, race, religion, sexuality, or any other reason.
If you experience or witness problematic behavior: Please bring it to the attention of the GM, Event Organizer, or any Venture-Officer. You can also contact your local lodge leadership, the Regional Venture-Coordinator, or report directly to Paizo at organizedplay@paizo.com. Your concerns will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.
Our commitment: These standards apply at every organized play table worldwide. We strive to resolve issues at the table level when appropriate, but we will not hesitate to remove anyone whose behavior violates our community standards. Gaming should be fun and welcoming for everyone—that’s the foundation of organized play.

If you’d prefer to create your own character, our GMs and volunteers are happy to help—just arrive a little early and let us know you’re new.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you at the gaming tables this week—and may your dice rolls be ever in your favor! Whether you’re wearing green or just enjoying the spring weather, we hope you have a fantastic week of gaming.
This week brings some significant news from Paizo with the cancellation of PaizoCon 2026. While we’re disappointed not to have the traditional in-person convention, we’re excited that the Online Region is stepping up with Bridging the Gap 2026 to give us all an opportunity to game together online over Memorial Day weekend. This shows the strength and resilience of the organized play community—when one door closes, we find another way to gather and game together!
Speaking of Memorial Day weekend, MomoCon 2026 is coming up fast! Keep an eye out for the volunteer form to open soon. If you’re interested in GMing or helping with HQ operations, reach out to Will H to express your interest early. This is one of our biggest local conventions, and we need a strong volunteer team to make it successful.
We continue to welcome our newest sister lodge in Statesboro as their paperwork progresses through the approval process. The expansion of organized play across Georgia shows the continued growth and vitality of our community!
And don’t forget—DragonCon volunteer signups are still open! September will be here before you know it, and early registration helps us plan better schedules and assignments.
See you at the tables—and may your crits be many and your fumbles be few this St. Patrick’s Day week!
