🌐 Virtual Gaming Policy Updates – Local Player Priority

Important Changes to Virtual Play Sign-Ups!

To keep our communications clear and aligned with Organized Play standards, the Atlanta and Columbus lodges are making important updates to how we handle virtual gaming. Here’s what’s changing:

Terminology Update: “Virtual” vs “Online”

We will officially use the term Virtual for all our non-physical table offerings. While the Online Region handles “Online” branding for their global games, our lodge-specific virtual games will be clearly labeled as Virtual to avoid confusion.

Early Sign-Up Rights for Local Players

At the request of Organized Play leadership and local players, we are implementing Early Sign-Up Rights for Atlanta and Columbus lodge members on most virtual games, as well as access to lodge-specific local events (such as parties, specials, and other member exclusives).

How to Claim Your Local Lodge Role

To ensure you get priority access and member status for virtual games, you need to register for your Atlanta or Columbus lodge role on our Warhorn:

  1. Navigate to the AtlantaPFS Warhorn Page
  2. Select “Email the event staff”
  3. In your message, provide:
    • Account Verification: Your Warhorn Name (and email associated with the account, if different)
    • Lodge Designation: Which lodge you belong to (Atlanta or Columbus)

A Note on Processing

This is a manual process that cannot be automated at this time. While we have several staff members, all emails are routed to a single point of contact for processing. Please be patient as we manually update these roles—we’ll get you cleared as quickly as possible!

Important: These specific roles and sign-up windows currently apply to games and events managed on the AtlantaPFS Warhorn hub. Individual GMs may set their own early sign-up windows, so check each game listing for specific details.

🎮 Expanded Virtual Gaming Schedule!

More opportunities to play from home!

We’ve expanded our virtual gaming schedule to provide more flexibility and gaming opportunities throughout the week:

  • Atlanta Virtual Games: Now running on Tuesday AND Wednesday evenings
  • Columbus Virtual Games: Running on Thursday evenings

Whether you prefer weeknight gaming, can’t make it to physical venues, or just enjoy the convenience of playing from home, we now have multiple virtual options each week. Check our schedule below for this week’s virtual offerings!

📊 Annual Lodge Feedback Survey – Help Shape 2026!

📅 The Crazy Book Lady – February Schedule Note

🏪 Wally’s Retro Wonder – Venue on Hiatus

Wally’s Retro Wonder in Cumming is currently on hiatus as they search for a new location. We’ll announce when games resume at this venue once they’ve settled into their new space. In the meantime, check out our other physical venues and expanded virtual schedule for gaming opportunities!

📋 GeorgiaPFS Forums Update

Please note that the GeorgiaPFS Shared Forums at gapfs.org have closed. We encourage everyone to join our Discord server for community discussions, game coordination, and staying connected with fellow players across Georgia and the Appalachian Region.

🗺️ Appalachian Region Hub & Calendar

Don’t forget to check out the Appalachian Region Hub for organized play resources across our six-state region! The site features a regional and national calendar showing game days throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia, plus regional conventions.

Planning travel or looking for games in other parts of the region? Use the calendar to find organized play wherever you are in the Appalachian Region. The calendar continues to be updated with national and international events as well.

📅 Wednesday Game Scheduling Update

Our Wednesday games at Manuel’s Tavern are experiencing some coordination delays in getting posted to our regular 2-week advance schedule. Games will still be happening, but may appear on Warhorn on shorter notice. Please check back regularly for Wednesday updates as we work to improve our posting consistency.

🏆 Hall of Heroes

Visit our Hall of Heroes page to honor and remember those we’ve lost from our gaming community. This memorial page celebrates the lives and legacies of lodge members who are no longer with us. Check it out from the member area menu.

🆕 New to Pathfinder or Starfinder Society?

Welcome to organized play! Whether you’re brand new to tabletop RPGs or a veteran player exploring Pathfinder or Starfinder Society for the first time, we’re here to help you get started.

🤗 Safe, Welcoming Tables for All

Everyone is welcome at our tables. Pathfinder and Starfinder Society organized play is committed to providing a safe, fun, and inclusive gaming environment for all participants worldwide. Whether you’re a veteran player, a first-time gamer, young or old, regardless of background, identity, or experience level—there’s a seat at our table for you.

All Pathfinder and Starfinder Society games operate under the Paizo Organized Play Code of Conduct and Community Standards. We expect all participants—players and GMs alike—to treat each other with respect and work together to create positive, memorable gaming experiences.

We do not tolerate: harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwelcome contact, or behavior that makes anyone feel excluded or threatened. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to, harassment or discrimination based on age, disability, ethnicity, gender or gender expression/identity, race, religion, sexuality, or any other reason.

If you experience or witness problematic behavior: Please bring it to the attention of the GM, Event Organizer, or any Venture-Officer. You can also contact your local lodge leadership, the Regional Venture-Coordinator, or report directly to Paizo at organizedplay@paizo.com. Your concerns will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.

Our commitment: These standards apply at every organized play table worldwide. We strive to resolve issues at the table level when appropriate, but we will not hesitate to remove anyone whose behavior violates our community standards. Gaming should be fun and welcoming for everyone—that’s the foundation of organized play.

Getting Started Resources:

Don’t have a character yet? No problem! You can use an iconic pregenerated character to try out the game before committing to building your own. Our GMs will have pregens available at the table. If you’d prefer to create your own character, our GMs and volunteers are happy to help—just arrive a little early and let us know you’re new.

❓ Did You Know?

🎁 Achievement Points (AcP): New to Organized Play? You get 80 AcP free on your Paizo Organized Play account to spend on cool boons and character options!

📅 Schedule Changes: Our schedules are subject to change due to GM/Player availability as well as competing events at venues. The best way to keep abreast of these changes is to follow our schedule on our Warhorn event page or our Event Calendar. We attempt to schedule 2 weeks or greater in advance of the game date and to cancel 48 hours or greater in advance when we know of an issue.

🎲 Until Next Week, Pathfinders!

It’s great to be back to regular gaming after Mother Nature’s icy interruption! The past two weekends reminded us that even the most carefully laid plans can be derailed by winter storms, but now we’re thawing out and diving back into adventure with renewed energy.

This week brings some significant changes to how we operate, particularly around virtual gaming and local player priority. If you’re an Atlanta or Columbus lodge member who plays virtually, make sure you register for your lodge role on Warhorn to take advantage of early sign-up access. And with our expanded virtual schedule—Tuesday and Wednesday for Atlanta, Thursday for Columbus—there are more opportunities than ever to play from the comfort of home.

Marietta the Gathering is less than a month away on March 7, and we’re excited to showcase organized play at this fantastic community festival. Whether you’re a regular at our tables or have never tried Pathfinder or Starfinder before, this is a perfect opportunity to experience organized play in a fun, low-pressure festival atmosphere. Mark your calendars!

This week’s schedule offers a great variety of adventures across both virtual and physical venues, from Starfinder exploration to Pathfinder dungeon delving to the continuing Stolen Fate Adventure Path. Our GMs are ready to bring these stories to life, and we can’t wait to see you at the tables—whether that’s across a physical table or through a virtual connection.

Thank you for being part of this vibrant gaming community. Stay warm, roll well, and we’ll see you at the table! ⚔️🌟
