We are excited to announce that the Atlanta Pathfinder and Starfinder Society (AtlantaPFS) website has moved to a new, modern theme!
In a focused effort completed over the past hour, we transitioned the site from the old Acumen theme to the new Expert News theme. This change was implemented to dramatically improve the user experience, especially for those accessing the site on their phones and tablets.
✨ What You Should Notice:
📱 Improved Mobile Experience
The primary reason for this update was to make the entire site fully responsive and mobile-friendly. Browsing on your phone should now be much cleaner, faster, and easier to navigate without excessive zooming or scrolling.
🎨 Visual & Menu Changes
- New Navigation Menu: The top navigation bar has been updated with a cleaner layout. The active page (the one you are currently on) will now be highlighted in yellow for easier reference.
- Better Readability: We have adjusted the colors throughout the site. All essential text is now light, white, or yellow to ensure maximum contrast against the background image.
- Sidebar Visibility: Sidebar titles and links have been adjusted to be clearer and easier to read.
⚙️ Content & Layout Adjustments
- Breadcrumbs Disabled: The “breadcrumbs” navigation trail at the top of article and sub-pages has been disabled to simplify the page layout.
- Social Links Moved: The social media icons previously located in the header have been moved and converted to text links in the footer of the site for consistent visibility across all devices.
- Form Visibility: All embedded forms (e.g., Volunteer Forms) have been adjusted to display dark text on a light background within the form fields, ensuring they are readable.
We hope you enjoy the new, cleaner, and more mobile-friendly experience!
