This week is a monumental one for Organized Play (Pathfinder Society & Starfinder Society) as well as Pathfinder and Starfinder in general. With the first day of Gen Con on August 1, both the Pathfinder Player Core 2 and the Starfinder 2nd Edition Playtest books will be released! Yes, you heard that right – brand new releases! This is your chance to be among the first to dive into these exciting new materials. Starting in August, the Starfinder 2nd Edition Playtest scenarios and adventures will be on the AtlantaPFS schedule, including at DragonCon.
Get Ready for Unprecedented Adventures!
The release of these books marks a new era of gameplay, filled with fresh content and thrilling opportunities for both new and seasoned players. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a curious newcomer, this is the perfect time to join the community and experience the excitement first-hand. Don’t miss out on the action and the opportunity to shape the future of Starfinder 2nd Edition!
New Players Welcome! We are always excited to welcome new players to our games. And guess what? You can play for free! That’s right – you don’t need to own any books or materials to jump into the fun. The Archives of Nethys website is the System Resource Document (SRD) for Paizo’s games, and it has you covered for the rules for Pathfinder 1st Edition, Pathfinder 2nd Edition, and Starfinder 1st Edition. When Starfinder 2nd Edition releases, the Archives of Nethys will also provide all the rules you need. Our Game Masters (GMs) are more than happy to teach you the game systems in the Organized Play setting. So, come on and discover the thrill of Pathfinder and Starfinder with zero barriers!
Organized Play and Resources In Organized Play, having additional materials can offer greater choices for players, but everything you need can be found at the Archives of Nethys, the official SRD for Pathfinder 1E, Pathfinder 2E, and Starfinder. For more information on how Society Play differs from home games, visit the Guides to Organized Play site.
Sign Up to Guarantee Your Spot While we do encourage and accept walk-ins to our games, table space is limited to a 6-player maximum. Signing up on the Warhorn links included with each game listing, or by going to our Warhorn event page, is the best way to guarantee a seat at the table. There is a minimum required number of players for a game to proceed, so signing up also helps ensure the game can happen. You can also join and follow our Warhorn event page to stay up to date on the latest games we schedule.
If more than 6 players want to play in a session, Warhorn will automatically add any players over the limit to the waitlist. If a player drops out, Warhorn will move a player from the waitlist to the active player list on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is enough interest and the waitlist grows, we may be able to add another GM to that session’s time slot or schedule another slot of the same game at a later point.
Upcoming Events and Volunteer Opportunities We are still recruiting Game Masters (GMs) and Headquarters volunteers to help us make DragonCon an event to remember! DragonCon will be held from August 29th to September 2nd. To volunteer with us for DragonCon, please fill out our volunteer form. The cutoff date for volunteering is August 10. We will be offering games of Pathfinder 1st Edition, Pathfinder 2nd Edition, Starfinder 1st Edition, and the Starfinder 2nd Edition playtest at DragonCon.
Gaming registration for DragonCon is not yet open, but we will be sure to let everyone know when it is.
