AtlantaPFS Weekly Update

🎪 MomoCon Week Is Here — Starfinder Is Coming Back to Fantasy Grounds! 🚀

Pathfinders and Starfinders — it’s MomoCon week! The Georgia World Congress Center is about to fill up with thousands of attendees, and AtlantaPFS will be there with organized play at the ready. If you haven’t checked the schedule and registered for games yet, now is the time.

We also have exciting news on the virtual front: Fantasy Grounds Starfinder Society games are making a comeback — soon. Details below. Let’s just say some people need to shake off the rust before DragonCon rolls around.

There are physical venue games this week too, including a return visit to Titan Games & Comics in Smyrna and a Monday game at Level-Up Johns Creek. Check the schedule, grab a seat, and we’ll see you at the table. ⚔️🌟

📢 Current Announcements & Updates

🎪 MomoCon 2026 – This Week! May 21–24

MomoCon 2026: May 21–24, 2026 – Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA

MomoCon is here! Our organized play schedule has been submitted and games are going live. Important reminder: game registration is through tabletop.events, not Warhorn. MomoCon has moved to a per-game charge model this year — those fees are set by MomoCon and tabletop.events, not AtlantaPFS.

Watch the GeorgiaPFS Discord #momocon channel for sign-up links as the schedule goes live and for real-time updates throughout the convention.

🐉 DragonCon 2026 – We Need You. Seriously.

DragonCon 2026: September 3–7, 2026 (Labor Day Weekend)

Let’s be direct: DragonCon is four months away, and we do not yet have enough volunteers to run the event we want to run. Every week that passes without a commitment is a week we can’t build the schedule. Tables we can’t staff don’t get scheduled. Specials we can’t crew don’t get offered. Players who show up at DragonCon looking for a game go home disappointed.

Our plan for a cinematic run of The Battle of Hellknight Hill alongside our regular PF2 and SF2 offerings is exciting — but it is contingent on having people. GMs. HQ staff. Volunteers willing to give a few slots of their DragonCon weekend to make something special happen for hundreds of players.

If you have ever thought about GMing at DragonCon, this is your year. If you’ve GMed before and haven’t signed up yet, we need you back. If you can spare even two or three slots over the weekend, that matters. Every single volunteer commitment changes what we can offer.

Don’t wait. The form takes five minutes. The payoff is five days of organized play at one of the best conventions in the country.

🚀 Fantasy Grounds Starfinder Society – Coming Back Soon!

Good news for fans of Fantasy Grounds and Starfinder Society: FG SFS games are making a comeback — and soon. After a quiet stretch, we’re gearing back up for regular Fantasy Grounds SFS sessions.

There may also be a certain Venture-Officer who needs to get their FG GM legs back under them before DragonCon. Practice makes perfect, and DragonCon does not wait for anyone to feel ready.

Keep an eye on the GeorgiaPFS Discord and Warhorn for announcements as FG sessions get scheduled. If Fantasy Grounds is your preferred VTT, now is a great time to dust off your characters.

📰 Bridging the Gap 2026 – Online Convention This Weekend!

May 22–25, 2026 (Memorial Day Weekend)

With PaizoCon Online 2026 canceled, the Organized Play Online Region is running Bridging the Gap 2026 as a virtual convention alternative — and it overlaps with MomoCon weekend. Highlights include VTT games across multiple platforms, Play-by-Discord/Post through August 14, multi-table specials for PF1, PF2, and Starfinder, early access to June releases, and charity support for Room to Read.

Registration: Warhorn | Community: Discord | Info: Paizo Forums

🌐 Virtual Gaming Policy – Local Player Priority (Reminder)

Atlanta and Columbus lodge members have Early Sign-Up Rights for most virtual games. To claim your lodge role on Warhorn, navigate to the AtlantaPFS Warhorn Page, select “Email the event staff,” and provide your Warhorn name and lodge (Atlanta or Columbus). This is a manual process — please be patient while we process requests.

Virtual games run Tuesday AND Wednesday evenings (Atlanta) and Thursday evenings (Columbus). Check the schedule below for this week’s offerings.

🕊️ In Memoriam: Lee McLurkin

We continue to hold space for the memory of Lee McLurkin, whose loss touched so many in our community. A fitting tribute is being prepared for DragonCon later this year, and a memorial will be added to our Hall of Heroes once complete. Our thoughts remain with his family and all who knew him.

🏆 Hall of Heroes

Visit our Hall of Heroes page to honor those we’ve lost from our gaming community. This memorial page celebrates the lives and legacies of lodge members who are no longer with us.

🎬 Rocky Horror Picture Show Night – Poll Still Open!

We are still collecting availability for our AtlantaPFS outing to The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Plaza Theatre on Ponce de Leon Avenue. If you haven’t filled out the poll yet, please do — the more responses we have, the better we can pick a date that works for the most people.

WhenIsGood: AtlantaPFS Invades the Rocky Horror Picture Show

This social event is open to the wider GeorgiaPFS and Appalachian Region community. Costumes and callbacks are strongly encouraged.

🌄 Regional Roundup – Appalachian Region News

🎉 Morgantown, WV Lodge – Learn to Play Happening Now!

The Morgantown, West Virginia lodge reopening continues to build momentum. Learn to Play sessions are happening this month, with official Pathfinder and Starfinder Society play set to kick off in June at Wyvern’s Rest. If you are in the Morgantown area — or know anyone who is — now is the perfect time to get connected. Reach out through the GeorgiaPFS Discord or contact Joel H for details.

Urgent: Venture-Officer Openings in Chattanooga & Charleston, WV

Two important leadership needs remain open:

  • Chattanooga, TN: The Venture-Lieutenant overseeing the Chattanooga lodge has stepped down. The lodge has great bones and a real player community — it needs a dedicated VO to keep the momentum going. If you are local or willing to step up, we want to hear from you.
  • Charleston, WV: We are actively recruiting to establish a brand-new lodge in the Charleston area. Help build something new, shape what organized play looks like in your city, and be the reason a whole community of players finds Pathfinder and Starfinder Society.

Interested in either opportunity? Reach out through the GeorgiaPFS Discord or at rvcapparegionop@gmail.com.

We Need Players and GMs — Especially Here

A few lodges are in particular need of additional support right now:

  • Mebane, NC – Tables are running but could use more consistent turnout and GMing support.
  • Charlotte, NC – A major metro area that deserves more organized play presence.
  • Memphis, TN – Western Tennessee organized play needs both players and GMs to stay visible.
  • Nashville, TN – Strong potential, needs more regular GM support to grow the schedule.

You don’t have to be a Venture-Officer to help — just showing up, playing, and eventually GMing is the foundation everything else is built on.

📣 Coming Soon: Appalachian Region on Mastodon!

We are pleased to share that approval for the Appalachian Region Mastodon account has finally come through! The account is not live yet, but it is coming soon. We will announce the handle when it launches — follow along on Discord, Facebook, X, and BlueSky for the news. The region’s social media presence keeps growing.

Free RPG Day: Saturday, June 27, 2026

  • Level-Up Games – Alpharetta
  • Level-Up Games – Duluth
  • Level-Up Games – Dawsonville

🌟 DragonCon 2026 – September 3–7 – Volunteers Needed Now

Five days of organized play, thousands of attendees, and our biggest regional showcase of the year. We need GMs and HQ staff — and we need commitments now, not in August. The schedule we can build is a direct function of how many people raise their hands today. Sign up here. Please.

🎲 MomoCon Week — Make It Count

MomoCon week is one of the highlights of the Atlanta organized play calendar, and this year we’re rolling into it with good momentum: a reopened lodge in West Virginia, Fantasy Grounds SFS making its return, and DragonCon recruiting gaining steam.

If you’re heading to MomoCon, have a great time — and tell someone new about organized play. If you’re not at MomoCon, there are still games this week at Titan, Level-Up Johns Creek, Manuel’s Tavern, and Foundry VTT. There is always a table to find.

The Pact Worlds and Golarion don’t save themselves. We’ll see you out there. ⚔️🌟
